| Question: I have a 5 month old female kitten called Suki, she was rescued from a farm where she was left to her own devices, she has recently been spayed and settled into to her new home. I am now trying to get her to use the cat flap to introduce her to the outside world but she will not entertain the outside enviroment. Question - how do I get her to use the cat flap and explore outside of the home? Paula My question is - why would you want her to? On average, indoor cats live about twice as long as those who live completely outdoors. Being outside exposes her to potential run-ins with predators, cars, diseases, and all manner of other accidents waiting to happen. If she seems content to stay inside, I would be very happy about that, as it makes it more likely she will be around for a very long time. |
