QUESTIONS TO THE CAT EXPERTS:

Date: May 9, 2008
Question:
Hi, our 2 year old cat has had 3 kittens 17 days ago. Everything seems fine with the kittens, they look healthy and are putting on weight ok. the queen appears to be a good attentive mother but recently she has begun to move them, As an example she took them from the dining room through the living room and kitchen up through a high level window across the garden in a high level window in our bedroom and nestled in a wardrobe at the rear. Is this normal and if not how do we help her? Many thanks
John peterson

This is totally normal, and nothing to worry about. Many queens move their kittens frequently - she just may not have found the spot she feels safest yet. If the kittens are doing well, I would just let her do what she wants. Have fun with the kittens:)
