| Question: Why does my cat want to drink tap water from the sink, but not from the drink bowl? Kumar Cats are picky about this for a reason and it contains a message for you. Cats can smell really well and probably your tap water contains chemicals that you are not able to smell or even taste. Cats prefer to drink running water because that way the scent of the chemicals in the water is lower. If your cat doesn't want to drink tap water from the bowl, give the cat mineral water that you drink yourself or collect rainwater. Its in the nature of the cats to be picky about what they drink and eat, its how they take care of their health. If you ignore this, you put your pet's health in danger. |
