QUESTIONS TO THE CAT EXPERTS:

Date: Jul 24, 2008
Question:
We moved house 11 weeks ago. We kept both our cats in for 8 weeks before letting them out at night. One cat, however, is returning to our old house (6 times now). We go back and pick him up, having to carry him back through our old house. Should we leave him in the hope that he will find his way back to the new house?
Carol

It is unlikely that he will go back to your new house. Probably the best solution is to try to keep him inside all the time - this is safer anyway, and if you did it for 8 weeks, it sounds like you were all able to live with it. If this is a possibility, it is the best way to go.
