| Question: I have a pair of two year old brothers- Simon and Alfie. Until recently they both weighed the same, but now Alfie has dropped weight and Simon has become much larger and more muscular- Also, their playfighting has escalated and Simon now chases Alfie around and seriously hurts him without any provocation. This is upsetting and confusing because until now they have been inseparable and loving. They are both neutered and live indoors. What is going on? Emma cumming Has anything else changed in the house, the environment? Is there a new baby or stray cats hanging around outside? Cats are very sensitive to their surroundings. Any little thing can upset them. I suggest you make sure they are both eating/drinking normally and sleeping normally. And was the weight loss gradual or rapid? If he lost weight rapidly, he should be vet checked to make sure there is no underlying medical condition. |
