QUESTIONS TO THE CAT EXPERTS:

Date: Nov 13, 2007
Question:
I recently got two black male kittens about three weeks ago, both are brothers and 4 months old. One of them is a bit larger than the other (6.5lbs) and I'm worried about him. He and his brother were very playful for the first couple of weeks, now Frost (the bigger one) seems to be a little too laid back and not as playful, while his brother Shadow is rambunctious as ever. He still loves receiving attention and loves to be petted and sits in my lap all the time, but when it's play time he seems to just kick back and watch no matter how hard I try to get him involved. I'm just worried that he might be ill or something may be wrong as he seems to not be acting like his normal self. They had their second series of shots a little over a week ago and the vet stated that they were in perfect help. Is it normal for the personality switch? Or is there something else going on?
Nik

Kittens can have very different personalities. I had one litter of kittens in which some were very active, even aggressive and some totally laid-back. All of them grew up to be strong and healthy cats.

If you vet is saying he is in a good health, I don't think you should worry.
