QUESTIONS TO THE CAT EXPERTS:

Date: Jan 11, 2008
Question:
My male cat, spade, gets on the bed and bits the blanket and ponches up and down. He also always drags his favorite toy with him to the bed.
Ronald Schaefer

This is normal behavior. A lot of cats "paw" or "knead" at blankets or your lap. They do this activity when they are nursing kittens. They knead the mom's belly to help stimulate milk flow. So, the behavior is just something they do from birth and some continue to do it as the get older, a "comforting" habit to them.
