QUESTIONS TO THE CAT EXPERTS:

Hello my name is Amanda I currently have 3 cats 1 male and 2 females (both females from the same litter), I have had all of them for about 2 years and they are close to the same age. They have been spayed and nuetered for about a year now, but my question is I have had a problem with my two females. star my bigger female has had aggression toward her sister Kit kit (shes the smallest, I like to call her the runt), and it consists of her hissing at her and some pawing at her. my concern is now kit kit she has switched behavior with star, it seems like now she is actually looking for her sister star on purpose to chase and scratch her, even hissing at her. none of my cats have done this, all of this just started with the aggressive behavior from both of my females. what is the cause? they are all strickly indoor cats and have had no problems up until now. Its getting to the point where I see scratch marks on stars nose and im getting worried about the whole thing. Kit kit is not the average cat, she likes to be held all the time and if you dont pick her up she meows until you do, shes a really sweet cat and I think she thinks that shes a baby and she is not aggressive towards people or my male cat just her sister star. I give all my cats the same amount of attention and I dont have certain specical treatment that I give to one that I dont give to the other. Please help. Thank-you very much Amanda May 5

We have 4 cats. one queen has delivered 3 kittens on feb 24. she becomes very thin after birth of kitten. suddenly after 20 march she becomes very agressive to his 0ne year old brother {Nante}.Now she also attack other male cats. her maternal unkle who is near about 3 yrs also attack Nante sometimes with whom he lives about years.pls provide solutions May 5
Hi! We have 3 cats (all spayed and declawed) who get along well. Christy, the youngest, a two year old fermale, tends to piddle in the house. She does use the litter box, but not always. Our other two cats (7 yr. old female & 4 year old male) are fine. We have had Christy to the vet to be checked for any problems. She has a small bladder but no disease. What can we do? Thaks! My 16 year old cat, Celeste, began using the carpet (in our playroom) instead of her litterbox when her brother died this past July. She and he used to hang out together in the playroom. She has seen a vet, and after several hernia surgeries, she is fine. I have tried everything else to correct this behavior: phermone spray, new litterboxes, litterboxes in different places, etc., but the only way she'll use her litterbox is if I shut her in our bedroom/bathroom area. I hate to keep her confined, since she already has to stay upstairs to avoid one of our (cat aggressive) dogs. Any suggestions? May 5
I’m getting two kittens in about 6-7 weeks, the owner will give them the basic vaccinations, but, will i need to bring them to my local vet to have a through check over? Also, at what age should i bring them to see the vet? What is the average cost for this type of check up? May 5
Silver is a "wild" kitten we "helped" to raise with his two sisters when we were in my husbands fathers home last April.(So we are assuming they were born in April '07) The young mother kept moving her little family on and off the property around September. When we had to move out in October, we saw that Silver was running up and down some trees that day and decided to take him with us. We now reside in an RV Camping area in our RV. Silver took to his potty box the first day and seemed to settle fine in the RV home environment. He is probably about 6 months old at this time. Of course we found there were wild feral cats, squirrels, and snakes at this location. Silver has been attacked several times by one in particular cat who we were told was a very large female. She has gotten him in his hind quarters and belly area. He has healed from all his wounds that I was aware of. Lately when I am brushing him he attacks the brush and meows when I get to the base of his tail. I also noticed that when I pick him up and try to cradle him with his bottom in my arms and hands he meows. He has been licking himself in the groin area alot. He seemed to be oozing some clear liquid just below the base of his tail. He will not let me look at or touch the area. I'm not sure if he has a sore or infection. Silver has never received any shots yet or been to a vet for financial reasons. I would like to give him his shots myself but need to know what to buy and where to get it over the Internet. I have always fed him dry cat food Purina "Complete Formula". He always has clean water available. What symptoms will show if this is something serious. I really can't spend alot of money on a cat. So I'm trying to do preventative maintenance myself. If you could suggest ideas for a better cat food to eliminate or better "digest" hairballs. Is Purina OK? Do you have any suggestions for his behavior at this time? Shots I can't give myself? I appreciate any suggestions and answers you can give me at this time. Janet and Silver" May 5
I have a 1 year old female cat, i am pretty sure that she is pregnant, her appetite has increased and her belly got much bigger and she lays on her side a lot. For the last two days i have noticed a bloody stool, three days prior i gave her advantage flea treatment from the vet(he said that it would not harm the cat if she is pregnant. Do you think its from the treatment or something else. The cat looks fine and has a good appetite. Should i wait or take her to the vet? Thank you May 5
