I've found a lot of valuable information from "Communicating With Your Cat" by Helgren and "Think Like a Cat" by Johnson-Bennett.
Also, I like the TV show Cat Whisperer, good stuff!

I'm currently reading The New Natural Cat: A Complete Guide for Finicky Owners and I think its just great.
It covers all aspects of caring for a cat, like nutrition, dealing with fleas, grooming, handling etc. Strongly recommended!

I'd say it depends on what kind of information are you after.
If you have more than 1 cat and they are not getting along, you might want to read Cat Vs. Cat: Keeping Peace When You Have More Than One Cat.
If you're interested in the history of cats, my vote goes for "100 Cats Who Changed Civilization" and "A Curious History of Cats".
For health issues my favourite is "Natural Healing For Dogs And Cats" by the Editors of Prevention Health Books.

I am a big cat lover and love to read books about cats. My personal favourites are "The Cat Who Cried for Help" by Nicholas Dodman and "Twisted Whiskers" by Pam Johnson.
