Cat products: hmm Posted by Peep | Nov 24, 2007 I've seen many cat products being advertised as "get this for your cat so you can have more time for other things". This disgusts me. If you don't want to spend time playing with your cats, why do you get a cat in the first place? I am interested to hear what other people think. Posted by Liz | Nov 24, 2007 I'm with you! I've seen those laser toys that are made to keep them busy while you watch TV or smth... pathetic. I am troubled that so many people buy those.. makes you wonder how many cat owners actually truly love their cats Posted by Summer | Mar 31, 2008 I agree my cat enjoys coming up and sitting on the reports that i bring home. Posted by Juli | Jul 17, 2008 We have alot of toys to entertain our cats, and yes we sit with them to watch them other then do other things while they are with their toys, such as the laser light, its good excersise for them, also check out play mice, furry mice, and tunnels, and cat tree's. not only for entertainment but for them to climb on stretch, and lay to rest in private area's. Posted by Kiki Banini | Aug 12, 2008 I agree to Juli, Liz, Summer, and you too, Peep. Cats are meant to be spent time with - not to leave alone! And those cat products you mentioned, Peep, won't neccesarily spare you more time to do other things. Posted by Minx | Nov 5, 2008 I too am disgusted when people get any kind of pet and ONLY THEN realize they require attention and love. But I must defend the laser lite! OMG my cat Meg does the best tricks just to play with it. We have a plain dot and then one that will show a dot, mouse, smiley and a butterfly. She will beg and stare until the butterfly pops up and ignores the others. It is great excercise and fun for even small kids to learn to safely play with a cat that otherwise may accidently scratch young skin. We have also taught our cats to play fetch by guiding them to items with the laser. Please pick one up, just one more way to enjoy your babies!
